Sophie Ryan is an Orange NSW based artist whose energetic paintings capture the movement, colour and shifting light of the Australian landscape. Inspired by her upbringing on the Macquarie River on a farm outside Bathurst NSW, she layers bold brushstrokes and expressive colour to translate the beauty of her surroundings. Sophie strives to evoke a sense of emotion and place in her work.
